Terms of Service

Welcome to nilidesk. By installing the agent, opening the browser viewer, or otherwise using the service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The service in plain English

nilidesk lets you control a Windows PC from any browser using a 9-digit ID and a password. Video and input flow peer-to-peer over an encrypted WebRTC channel; our servers are a rendezvous switchboard, not a recording or relay of your data.

2. Who can use nilidesk

You must be at least 16 years old and legally capable of entering this agreement. If you're connecting to a computer that isn't yours, you must have explicit authorization from the owner. Using nilidesk to access a device without permission is a crime in most jurisdictions (e.g., Israel Computer Law 1995 § 4; U.S. CFAA; UK Computer Misuse Act 1990) — and a violation of these Terms.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use nilidesk to:

• Access any device without the owner's clear consent.
• Distribute malware, ransomware, or stalkerware.
• Conduct tech-support scams or impersonate any authority (police, bank, software vendor) to gain access.
• Bypass legally required parental controls on a child you do not have legal authority over.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to break the cryptography of the service, except where prohibited by law.
• Resell or rebrand the service without a written commercial agreement.

We may suspend or terminate accounts and revoke IDs at our discretion for violations of this section.

4. Plans and pricing

Personal: free, unlimited devices, unlimited usage time, no signup. Forever free for non-commercial use.

Pro / Business (planned): published rates apply from the date listed on the pricing page. We will give 30 days notice before any price change to existing paid customers.

5. Service availability

We aim for 99.9% uptime of the rendezvous server but make no guarantee. The service is provided "as is" with no warranty of uninterrupted operation.

6. Your data

See our Privacy Policy for details. Short version: we don't see your screen content, we don't see your passwords, and we keep only the minimum metadata needed to run the service.

7. Intellectual property

The nilidesk software, name, and logos are owned by the operator. Open-source components retain their respective licenses; the licenses are bundled with the agent installer.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of nilidesk, including but not limited to loss of data, business interruption, or unauthorized access by third parties who obtained your ID and password.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced via the website at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel. Any dispute will be brought before the competent courts of Tel Aviv-Yafo.
